Ellie Jane Goulding grew up in Hereford, England. She was born on the 30th of December 1986. Tracey Goulding Summers, her mother worked in a store. Arthur Goulding is the father. Goulding's older sister Isabel as well as her second sister Jordan are sisters. Alex is her brother. Alex her younger brother plays on the Bass. Alex also is part of a group from Hereford. Her mother was a big advocate for her the instrument as a young child. Clarinet was her first instrument as she was nine years old. At the age of 14, she started writing songs.
